Where Eagles Don't Care

from Glory by Bonn

/

lyrics

Soaring through the sky with six pairs of socks on. 60 jumps a day and every jump could be the last. Eagles don't care. Bottle bottom glasses glittering in the sunlight. No dreams of gold or silver but balls made of titanium. Eagles don't care. Sleeping in a borrowed bed at a finnish psych ward. Eating scraps from rubbish bins, scrubbing floors, washing up. Eagles don't care. Coming down from a dynasty of plasterers. Meant to be the one man team, heading straight to Calgary. A quintessential British sportsman, who failed his way to fame and glory, couldn't be stopped otherwise than by rewritten rules. Eagles don't care. There are only two kinds of hope: Bob Hope or no hope. Eagles never give up, eagles cannot be stopped.

about
